GlobalScape EFT Integration

Hijacking user credentials poses a risk of unauthorized access to accounts. Nowadays, providing additional security steps to solve such problems is possible with the SecTrail verification server.

In this document, you can find information about providing two-factor authentication via one-time password (SoftOTP) for SecTrail and GlobalScape EFT.

GlobalScape EFT Integration with SecTrail;

1. "Credentials are entered on the login screen of GlobalScape EFT."
2. The credentials (username and password) are sent as a RADIUS request to the SecTrail server via GlobalScape EFT."
3. SecTrail performs user authentication (via Active Directory, Database, etc.) and sends the RADIUS response to GlobalScape EFT. If the authentication is successful, SecTrail sends a one-time password to the address obtained from the user information in the database (AD, LDAP, Local) via SMS or email. An external SMS proxy or email server is used for sending. In case of using a software token (SoftOTP), the password is generated through the SecTrail Authenticator mobile application.
4. If the response is successful, GlobalScape EFT presents the user with a second screen.
5. The user enters the one-time password generated by SecTrail via SMS, email, or SecTrail Authenticator mobile application
6. GlobalScape EFT sends the one-time password to SecTrail as a RADIUS request,
7. SecTrail verifies the one-time password and sends the response to GlobalScape EFT.
8. If the response is successful, GlobalScape EFT allows the user's access and starts the session.
